This Friday, 1/31, The Thing Itself will return to The Twig for our monthly featured reading and Open Mic event. I encourage any and everyone to come out, hear some great work, and have a great time. I look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow.

Jason Martinez:

Jason is a San Antonio native and recent Creative Writing graduate of the College of Liberal and Fine Arts at UTSA. He is currently working on a collection of short stories, as well as considering continued studies in graduate school. Follow him on Twitter, @jmartindustries.




Sonya Groves:

Sonya Groves is a teacher of English and History in San Antonio. She has published a short story in the Abydos Education Journal, has poetry publications in La Noria, The Voices Project, Aries, and Scissors & Spackle. Currently she is pursuing her Master’s degree in English at Our Lady of the Lake University.


Corrigan Moran:

 Corrigan Moran is an undergraduate at Our Lady of The Lake, and a talented poet. He is very active within the campus community, as well as the San Antonio literary scene in general. Corrigan is also in the process of having his full length poetry manuscript published.
